Quality of the fish is fantastic - the smaller size is great as a snack between two people. My personal preference is a bigger chop for the fish, but the diced size also gives you a bit of every seafood in each bite. The fresh-ground wasabi is chefs kiss.

TLDR: Small Japanese specialty store in LIC. If you're looking for something specific, almost niche Japanese - there's a good chance they'll have it here. Everything from imported dashi, spices, sashimi, wagyu, etc. This was one of the few places I've ever seen that carries my favorite spice mix from Kyoto. Sushi bowls and boxes are definitely above average. Pricier but premium quality. The back there's also wagyu, misos, dashi, etc. A cool spot to check out whether you're looking to get something to eat or cook. They also are one of the few places us civilians can get crown melons at. Although they will set you back quite a bit.

I love this place. They have a lot of good quality products and also the staffs are so nice, kind and friendly. They have few tables to sit outside as well. they have a lot of Japanese products like food, meat, fruits, snacks, seafood, rice bowl, drinks and more. I like to walk around so much, very cute shop.

the rice bowl i had here had extremely fresh sushi, and was only $15! you can’t beat the price for the quality of fish. on top of that it’s a Japanese grocery store, so there’s lots of fun treats/drinks to pick up here. they also have outdoor seating. the staff is super nice and accommodating.

ALL the sushi and rice bowls were delicious and very fresh. The uni was perfect as well as the Ikura. I could tell the Ikura was high quality, beautiful in color and almost clear. The white peach fruit bar from the frozen section was phenomenal, tasted like I was eating a fresh white tea. The salmon rice ball was delicious. The food was definitely worth the price.
